The Chemical Industry Association (CIA) and its European counterpart CEFIC on 28 January 2019 issued a briefing on ‘Brexit: Preparing for a future <UK out of REACH Scenario> - What you need to know – Practical considerations to maintain trade post Brexit’.
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in January 2019 updated its guidance on ‘How to report changes in identity under REACH and CLP’.
Both documents are likely to be of high practical importance for companies affected by the potential for the UK to cease to apply the EU REACH Regulation on Brexit and to apply its own version of REACH, for which a draft Statutory Instrument has now been released.
