William Wilson, barrister with Wyeside Consulting, was quoted in the ENDS Report article on environmental priorities for the incoming Johnson government.
Speaking mainly about the Environment Bill William Wilson said that the very detailed aims for it outlined in Michael Gove’s speech at Kew Gardens on 16 July, on air quality, water management, waste reduction and wildlife renewal, should feature at the top if the in tray. There should be a proper response to the criticisms of the Environment (Principles and Governance) Bill by the House of Commons EFRA and EAC Committees. And it was imperative that the new government delivers what we were promised, by having the whole of EU environmental law transferred to UK law at Brexit.
