The European Commission issued its initial briefing for businesses and other organisations
on planning for a ‘no-deal Brexit’ on 19 July 2018, and has followed this with sector by sector
policy guidance, urging forward planning for all eventualities.

The UK government will start issuing its own technical notices about planning for a no-deal
Brexit on 23 August through to the end of September 2018, and these are expected to cover
more than 80 areas and key sectors.
